Greetings everyone, I'm Geoff Pitts.
I'm here to get this blog off the ground and turn it into a place where you can get the latest news, photos, and commentary on what's going on here at the track.
I'll start off by telling you a little about myself.
I'm a long-time Thunderhill Employee (6 years or so) who's done just about every job there is to do here. I Started around 2002 as a Flagger/Communicator, Maintenance person, and Security guard, and went on to work for the track on the marketing side of things. My first marketing job for the track was in 2004 when I put together a REALLY giant contingency plan for SCCA's Western States Championship. Later, I began selling advertisements for Thunderhill's Annual Publication. Today I am still working as an advertising rep, but my biggest endeavor has been organizing and promoting Thunderhill's (and Nor-Cal's ONLY) monthly skid-pad Drifting events.
During my time as an event Organizer/Promoter I've grown to enjoy writing and photography, so when I heard that the Blogsite still exists, I took it upon myself to turn it into something! I think I'll have a lot to add here, and I'll have the help of Will Faules our newest team member, who is a writer for several other sites.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the media you find here, and I look forward to hearing all of your thoughts and opinions.
...and if you're at the track, find me and say Hi!
-Geoff
